Peran dan tanggung jawab lembaga legislatif dalam proses pembentukan Undang-Undang di Indonesia
Abstract
(DPR) as the people's representative body, the Regional Representative Council (DPD) as the regional representative body and the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR). The role of legislative bodies in the formation of laws is very important because they are responsible for formulating, ratifying and evaluating legal policies that apply in this country. The law-making process begins with an initiative to form a law that can come from the government, members of the DPR, or the public. The legislative body has the task of studying, discussing, and amending the proposed draft law. They are also responsible for conducting public consultations and inviting stakeholders to provide input in the lawmaking process. In addition, the legislature also plays a role in determining the priority of laws to be discussed. Once the draft law has been agreed upon by the legislature, the next process is for the law to be passed by the President. The President has the authority to approve or reject laws passed by the legislature. If approved, the law will be declared valid and applicable in Indonesia. The responsibilities of the legislature also include monitoring the implementation of laws that have been passed. They have a role in evaluating the effectiveness of laws and following up on violations that occur. Overall, legislative bodies play a key role in Indonesia's lawmaking process. They are responsible for formulating legal policies that are in line with the interests of society and ensuring effective implementation of laws.
