Abstract

Inclusive education is in the spotlight in an effort to provide a learning environment that embraces diversity and supports every child in obtaining an equal education. With the inclusive education policy, it can provide the widest possible opportunity for all children who have physical, emotional, mental and social disorders, or have the potential for intelligence and/or special talents to obtain quality education according to their needs and abilities. In addition, inclusive education can also realize the implementation of education that respects diversity and is not discriminatory for all children. This article aims to analyze the implementation of inclusive education policy as a strategy to improve accessibility for children with special needs. The discussion covers the concept and definition of inclusive education, accessibility for children with special needs and the implementation of inclusive education policies in improving accessibility for children with special needs. Thus, this article provides a view that inclusive education is very important for children with special needs because educational institutions can provide services according to the needs of children, so that children can get education according to their abilities and intelligence.
