Menggali peningkatan keterampilan berbicara siswa melalui role-play dalam pembelajaran bahasa inggris di mts mambaul ulum bantur
Abstract
This research aims to examine the implementation of role-play activities in English learning at MTs Mambaul Ulum Bantur in the 2023/2024 academic year and how these activities can improve the speaking ability of grade VIII students. This study uses qualitative and descriptive methods. Observation, interviews, and documentation are used to collect data. The results of the study indicate that the use of the role-play approach can increase students' activeness and their courage to speak English. Students appear more enthusiastic and confident, and they show improvements in pronunciation, fluency, and language use. This activity also helps make learning more fun and more communicative. Therefore, role-play can be used as an alternative learning method to improve students' speaking ability in relevant situations.
