This study aims to determine how the role of risk management in Islamic banking minimizes credit risk. The research method used is a literature analysis of related studies. The results show that the implementation of good risk management, which is carried out through identification, measurement, monitoring, and control of risks, can reduce the potential for credit risk occurrence. This study emphasizes that effective risk management is the key to the operational sustainability of Islamic banking in facing the challenges of credit risk. Furthermore, the implementation of prudential principles in accordance with Sharia values also strengthens customer trust in the Islamic banking system. With adequate regulatory support and increased human resource capacity, credit risk management can be managed more professionally and sustainably. The implications of this research indicate that strengthening risk management is not only crucial for the financial stability of Islamic banks but also for maintaining the sustainability of the Islamic banking industry in the face of global economic dynamics.
