Pengaruh penggunaan media digital terhadap peningkatan keterampilan membaca teks arab pada mahasiswa
Abstract
This study aims to determine the influence of digital media use on improving students' Arabic text reading skills. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method using field studies through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that digital media such as language learning applications, interactive videos, and online platforms enhance students' motivation and ability to comprehend Arabic text structures. Digital media facilitate access to authentic reading materials and vocabulary expansion, significantly improving reading skills. It can be concluded that digital media play a vital role. Furthermore, the research findings also indicate that the use of digital media has a positive impact on increasing students' active participation in the learning process. Students become more independent in seeking references and are able to adapt their learning styles to the various types of media available. The interactivity and flexibility of learning time offered by digital media have been proven to increase learning effectiveness, especially in the context of higher education, which demands independent learning. However, this study also identified several obstacles, such as limited internet connection and a lack of digital literacy among some students. Therefore, ongoing training and mentoring are needed to optimize the use of digital media to improve Arabic reading skills.
