The advancement of digital technology has brought notable changes to the field of education, including the teaching and learning of Arabic. Digital media (DM) is increasingly utilized as a supporting tool in the learning process, particularly in developing students’ reading skills (maharah qira’ah, MQ). This study seeks to examine the impact of digital media on students’ ability to read Arabic texts. This study adopts a descriptive qualitative design through a literature review approach. The data were gathered from a range of recent and relevant scholarly articles focusing on digital media and Arabic language instruction. The results reveal that digital media contributes positively to students’ reading performance, especially in terms of vocabulary acquisition, reading fluency, and comprehension. Furthermore, the use of digital tools is found to enhance students’ motivation and participation in learning activities.Nevertheless, the application of digital media is not without challenges. Issues such as distractions and insufficient supervision during its use may reduce its effectiveness. Therefore, it is necessary to implement well-planned strategies to ensure that digital media can be used optimally in supporting Arabic language learning.
