Edukasi parenting cerdas sebagai upaya peningkatan kesehatan anak era modern
Studi kasus masyarakat Desa Sengguruh
Abstract
Child health problems in the modern era are becoming increasingly complex due to significant changes in parenting patterns, rapid technological development, and the limited understanding of many parents regarding appropriate and holistic child care. The widespread use of digital devices, unhealthy eating habits, and reduced parent–child interaction have contributed to various physical, emotional, and developmental issues among children. This situation is also experienced by the community of Sengguruh Village, which continues to face multiple challenges in maintaining optimal child health and development, particularly in terms of nutrition, hygiene practices, and early health prevention efforts. This study aims to analyze the role of smart parenting education as a strategic effort to improve child health within the Sengguruh Village community. The research employed a qualitative approach using a case study design, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving parents, health cadres, and village officials. The findings reveal that smart parenting education significantly enhances parents’ knowledge and awareness of healthy parenting practices, balanced nutrition, proper hygiene, and early prevention of child health problems. Furthermore, noticeable positive changes were observed in parents’ attitudes and behaviors, as they became more responsive, attentive, and proactive in supporting their children’s well-being. Therefore, smart parenting education plays a vital role and should be continuously implemented through collaborative village-level initiatives.
