Jama'i dhikr is a collective worship practice in Islamic tradition that is widely applied in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) as a means of spiritual development, strengthening inner peace, and building the character of students. This paper aims to examine the understanding and meaning of jama'i dhikr in the lives of students, describe the practice of jama'i dhikr that calms the nervous system in Islamic boarding schools, and analyze its psychological and physiological impacts on mental health. The method used is a literature study by reviewing various scientific literature related to neurospirituality, mental health, and dhikr practices from an Islamic perspective. The results of the discussion indicate that jama'i dhikr has an important role in creating spiritual, emotional, and social balance in students. The practice of dhikr that is carried out rhythmically, directed, and collectively can help reduce stress levels, anxiety, and increase inner peace through activation of the parasympathetic nervous system. In addition, jama'i dhikr also contributes to physiological stability, such as reducing heart rate, blood pressure, and cortisol hormones related to stress responses. The atmosphere of togetherness in dhikr jama'i helps strengthen Islamic brotherhood and provides emotional support for students in living their life in the Islamic boarding school. Thus, the integration of dhikr jama'i in the neurospiritual aspects of the Islamic boarding school can be seen as a form of holistic psychospiritual intervention that supports homeostasis, nervous system relaxation, and the mental well-being of students in a sustainable, integrated, effective, and relevant manner for today's modern life.
