Cooperative learning models have been the focus of significant research in the field of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning. This paper presents an in-depth study of the application, advantages, and disadvantages of five cooperative learning models commonly used in IRE: Make A Match, Two Stay Two Way, Jigsaw, STAD, and Group Investigation. Through literature analysis and practical experience, this article outlines how each learning model can be implemented effectively and efficiently in the process of IRE learning aimed at enhancing student engagement, understanding of religious concepts, and development of social skills. Additionally, this article also highlights the strengths and challenges associated with each learning model, as well as providing practical advice for IRE educators in selecting and integrating these models into their curriculum. It is hoped that this paper will make a positive contribution to improving the quality of IRE learning through the effective and relevant utilization of cooperative learning models.
