Focus and Scope

English Edu: Journal of English Teaching and Learning publishes research on English education through empirical studies, classroom research, literature-based research, conceptual studies, and critical reviews. The journal welcomes interdisciplinary research addressing current challenges and innovations in English language teaching and learning.

The journal covers the following areas:

  1. English Language Teaching: Teaching methods, teacher development, and language learning strategies.

  2. Applied Linguistics: Language acquisition, sociolinguistics, discourse analysis, and language use.

  3. Literature in ELT: The use of literary works to develop language skills, literacy, and critical thinking.

  4. Translation in ELT: Translation practices and their application in language teaching.

  5. Language Assessment: Language testing, evaluation, and assessment development.

  6. Curriculum and Material Development: Curriculum design, textbooks, and instructional materials.

  7. ICT in ELT: Digital learning, educational technology, and AI-supported language teaching.

The journal encourages research contributing to the following SDGs:

SDG relevance is assessed based on each manuscript’s research objectives, findings, and contributions. Addressing the SDGs is encouraged but not mandatory.
