Analisis perbandingan sistem pendidikan di Indonesia dan Singapura sebagai negara yang terletak di Asia Tenggara
Abstract
As countries that are geographically close together and located in Southeast Asia, of course Indonesia and Singapore have different problems regarding their education. Singapore, which is superior in the quality of its education, can be used as reflection material for Indonesia in improving its education system. This article discusses the comparison of the education systems in Indonesia and Singapore as countries in Southeast Asia. The type of research method used in this article is Literature. The curriculum in Singapore provides comprehensive support by providing detailed guidance on the best techniques for doing things. Furthermore, the Singapore curriculum has been based on four main philosophies, namely perennialism, essentialism, humanism, and reconstructionism. On the other hand, Indonesia is limited to the philosophical basis of perennialism and essentialism. However, these two countries have the potential for mutual learning. With a deeper understanding of these differences and similarities, the two countries can inspire each other to improve the quality of education and have a positive impact on the development of their societies.
