Abstract

Mustahik empowerment through zakat and waqf management is one of the efforts to improve community welfare and reduce dependence on consumptive assistance. One of the institutions involved in this management is Yatim Mandiri Batu City. This study aims to analyze the management of zakat and waqf as well as the forms of mustahik empowerment carried out by Yatim Mandiri Batu City. This research used a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. The data were obtained from Yatim Mandiri Batu City and several supporting documents related to zakat and waqf management. The results showed that Yatim Mandiri Batu City has implemented productive zakat and waqf management through online and offline fundraising systems, productive assistance distribution, and mentoring programs in education, economic, social, and spiritual fields. In addition, productive waqf management in the education and livestock sectors also provides long-term benefits for the community.
