Pengaruh literasi wakaf uang terhadap keputusan berwakaf generasi milenial

Cash waqf, as a flexible Islamic social finance instrument, holds tremendous national potential Rp180 trillion per year yet its adoption among millennials remains far from satisfactory. Waqf literacy has been identified as the key factor, although the debate over the extent of its influence on actual waqf decisions remains unresolved, especially since the national waqf literacy score has only reached 50.48. This study aims to examine the extent to which monetary waqf literacy actually drives the waqf decisions of the millennial generation, using an explanatory quantitative approach through a survey of 50 millennial respondents selected via purposive sampling, followed by analysis using simple linear regression. The results are quite clear: financial endowment literacy has a positive and significant effect on the decision to make an endowment (sig. 0.000; regression coefficient 0.641; R² = 0.684). Nevertheless, there is a gap that cannot be ignored between the already high literacy rate (83.9%) and the actual consistency of endowment giving (77.5%), particularly regarding monthly routines and nominal growth. In conclusion, improving literacy alone is insufficient without the support of nazhir transparency, digital accessibility, and truly sustainable literacy programs to convert intentions into concrete action.
