Productive waqf is an important instrument in Islamic economics with significant potential to enhance community welfare through sustainable asset management. Waqf is not only utilized for worship purposes but can also be developed in productive sectors such as agriculture, education, and micro-enterprises. However, the management of productive waqf in Indonesia still faces several challenges, including weak governance, limited innovation, low human resource quality, and insufficient public understanding of productive waqf. This study aims to analyze the optimization of productive waqf in supporting the economic development of the Muslim community at DT Peduli Malang branch. The research employs a qualitative approach with field studies conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. Findings reveal that DT Peduli Malang has implemented productive waqf initiatives by utilizing waqf assets for the construction of a tahfiz dormitory, operational offices, citrus farming programs, as well as community empowerment through tempe processing and fruit chip production. Nevertheless, the management of productive waqf remains suboptimal due to limited capital, weak governance, and low public literacy. Therefore, more professional, innovative, and technology-based management is required so that productive waqf can contribute effectively to poverty alleviation and the sustainable improvement of community welfare.
