The management of zakat collection and distribution is an important aspect in optimizing the socio-economic function of zakat within society. This study aims to analyze the collection system, distribution mechanism, administration, and management challenges implemented by the Takmir of An-Nur Mosque in Bumiaji, Batu City. This research employed a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The main informant in this study was the chairman of the zakat management board of An-Nur Mosque. The results indicate that the zakat collection system is carried out through both conventional and digital approaches, including direct socialization, social media utilization, electronic flyers, and online services. The distribution of zakat funds is conducted based on Islamic principles by referring to the eight categories of zakat recipients (asnaf) through deliberative mechanisms involving local community elements. In the administrative aspect, records are maintained using Microsoft Excel and reported regularly to the congregation as a form of transparency and accountability. The main challenge faced is the low level of public literacy regarding nisab, haul, and contemporary zakat issues. Therefore, strengthening public education and developing a more integrated digital system are necessary to improve the effectiveness of mosque-based zakat management.
