Abstract

The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in mitigating market risk in Islamic banking is becoming increasingly relevant amid digital transformation and the growing complexity of financial markets. AI is capable of processing large amounts of data, identifying risk patterns, and supporting faster, more accurate, and more measured decision-making. This writing uses a literature review method by examining various relevant national journals descriptively to explore how AI can be utilized in risk management within Islamic banking. The findings show that AI has the potential to strengthen market risk management, improve operational efficiency, assist in early detection of potential losses, and support Islamic banking in responding to dynamic market changes. However, its implementation still needs to consider human resource readiness, data quality, system security, and compliance with Sharia principles to ensure optimal results.
