Abstract

Education is the main foundation for the future of a nation, the quality of which is very dependent on the professionalism and competence of teachers. One effective method for improving the quality of education is through educational supervision, which functions as control and guidance to support and develop teachers' professional abilities. In the era of globalization and rapid technological progress, demands for the quality of education are increasingly high, so educational supervision becomes very important. Even though implementation faces various challenges such as limited time and resources, understanding the urgency and benefits of supervision is a crucial first step. Educational supervision includes inspection, research, training, guidance, and evaluation, and plays an important role in coordination, consultation, leadership, and assessment. Teacher professionalism, which is strengthened through certification programs, aims to improve the suitability, learning process, welfare and dignity of teachers. Effective educational supervision can improve teacher performance and the quality of learning, which ultimately contributes to the success of education in Indonesia.
