Spiritual burnout among pesantren students refers to mental and spiritual exhaustion that reduces enthusiasm for worship, academic motivation, and creates a sense of emptiness in daily life. This condition arises from the demanding routines of religious study, worship, and collective discipline, which can be as stressful as modern work environments. It reflects a crisis of meaning in spiritual activities, where worship loses its depth and becomes a repetitive task. The study aims to explain how spiritual burnout emerges, identify its signs, and propose diagnostic methods by integrating modern psychology with salaf pesantren traditions. Diagnosis combines psychological tools such as questionnaires and interviews with traditional indicators like decreased devotion and loss of spiritual warmth. This integrated approach ensures a more comprehensive understanding of both mental and spiritual aspects of burnout. Therapy emphasizes blending psychological counseling and stress management with traditional pesantren practices. Tasawwuf supports purification of the heart and deepening worship, riyadhah builds patience and resilience through gradual spiritual exercises, and guidance from kyai or ustadz provides emotional and spiritual support. Together, these methods foster holistic recovery, restoring motivation, strengthening spiritual purpose, and enabling santri to experience worship with renewed meaning.
